Meet The Team
Care Home Manager:
Norma has been a nurse for 40 years has managed care homes over the past 16 years. She is a very passionate person and enjoys every minute that she spends with her residents. Norma enjoys gardening by way of relaxation therapy.
Deputy Home Manager:
Maya has seventeen years’ experience of management in care settings. During a total of eleven years management experience at Quantum care, she developed her career with a lengthy spell as Deputy Home Manager and ultimately Manager. Maya joined High Meadows care home in 2019 as Home Deputy Manager and she was promoted to Registered Home Manager in 2020.
She brings wide ranging management experience to her role at High Meadows and in addition fluently speaks five languages: English, French, Creole, Hindi and Punjabi.
To relax, she enjoys swimming, sports, travelling, reading, cooking and arts & crafts.
Arabella had 6 years’ experience in nursing & acute medicine in Winchester. She is keen on good health for herself and the residents and staff. She is also a health & fitness coach.
Her hobbies are singing, dancing, travelling & reading.
Unit Lead Nurse - Dementia Unit:
For over a decade, Sarah taught History and English in a secondary school before moving into care in 1991 where she now has more than thirty years’ experience.
She joined the team in the Dementia Unit at High Meadows in July 2019. She really loves her work and though tempted to retire, knows that she would miss the camaraderie of her colleagues and of course the friendship and companionship of the residents who give such meaning and purpose to what she does each day, particularly in these challenging times.
There is more to Sarah than meets the eye – in her youth she used to go ostrich racing!
Shirley has more than ten years’ experience of working in care settings. She has a passion for supporting the Management in achieving their aims and objectives. She aims to uplift and support her colleagues by training them up to provide a higher standard of care, gaining more knowledge and responsibility in preparation for higher level roles in their care setting.
NAPA Qualified as an Activities Manager, Meera has gained several years’ experience across a number of settings, providing enjoyable pastimes and entertainment for care home residents. She is passionate about activities and lifestyle. She combines energy and creativity to provide stimulating activities for those in our care. She loves nothing more than to see her team working effectively and our residents happy, safe and comfortable!
Away from work she enjoys documentaries especially about astronomy, holidays, experimenting with cooking, soft music, going for walks & visiting new places.
Asha has worked in the care industry for 14 years and has loved every minute of it!
She achieved Care NVQ Level 3 and an admin qualification. She loves animals and has a black Labrador. She loves going for long walks and the muddy adventures she has with him!
She also enjoys baking and watching rom-com's!
Filby graduated in Finance and went on to acquire an MBA in his native country of India.
He joined High meadows after ten years working as a Finance Officer. He is highly organised and passionate about his work.
To relax he enjoys watching the news and movies on television and reading the newspapers.
Head of Housekeeping:
As Head of Housekeeping, Arnell ensures that we have a clean and tidy environment in which to live and work and maintains high standards of Health and Safety in the Home.
He and his colleagues keep the premises and equipment in tip-top condition.
In his free time, he enjoys cooking and watching movies.
